The brave New World Lamp started as concept piece of random thought-initiated construction.Following the example of old Far Easter bamboo scaffolding The Brave New World Lamp was developed without a design, for plan in place however each piece of wood is carefully notched and pegged together to form an integral part of the overall mechanical structure.The limitations of using small pieces of wood to create a large form allowed the design process to be responsive as possible. Much like a sculptures' relationship to their material.

- Hinges must be operated together with both hands for stability.
- To clean the brave New World Lamp, Moooi recommends using a feather duster first to remove any dust particles. If a stain persists use a soft damp cloth to gently rub the stained area. Moooi strongly recommends making sure the lamp is not connected to the main power supply whilst cleaning is in progress. Moooi recommends always reading the label of any cleaning product you wish to use on or near item from the Moooi collection.
